The history of Fuzer castle Hungary goes back to the middle of the 13th century. The first written mention of the Füzér castle in the Zemplén mountains, Hungary dates back to 1264. According to assumptions,  the castle was already standing before the Mongol invasion. The construction of the castle is associated with the Aba dynasty, but over the centuries, the castle has had several owners, including András the II, Róbert Károly, Drugeth, and then Perényi.

It is less known that Nádasdy Castle played an important role in the country’s Reformation history. The very first translation of the Bible was printed here.
